Quantitative cancer epidemiologist building reproducible causal-inference pipelines on large-scale observational health data. PhD-trained in causal inference and evidence triangulation, currently working on pancreatic and bladder cancer at CNIO. Experienced with g-methods, negative controls, and Mendelian randomization across international cohorts (HELIX, ATHLETE). Author of CRAN R packages (forrest, orcidtr) and lead developer of the etverse ecosystem for reproducible and transparent causal inference.
Postdoctoral Fellow Jun 2026 – Present
CNIO Madrid, ES
Applying causal inference and evidence triangulation to pancreatic and bladder cancer research (Genetic and Molecular Epidemiology Group).
Postdoctoral Fellow Oct 2025 – Mar 2026
Barcelona Institute for Global Health | Maternal, Child and Reproductive Health Barcelona, ES
Built reproducible whole-exome sequencing pipelines (Bash, R, SLURM) for cancer genomics: QC, alignment, multi-caller somatic variant calling, and copy-number analysis; authored the squamr R package.
Predoctoral Researcher Jun 2021 – Sep 2025
Barcelona Institute for Global Health | Childhood and Environment Barcelona, ES
Developed reproducible causal-inference and multi-omics pipelines in R and Python on HPC (parametric g-formula, network analysis); released open-source code for three first-author papers.
